Help your children get off to a good start with our healthy breakfast suggestion.

Don’t skip breakfast….A healthy breakfast is an important part of a balanced diet, and provides some of the vitamins and minerals needed for good health.

A typical easy healthy breakfast…

• 30g porridge oats
• 150ml semi skimmed or skimmed milk
• Tablespoon of dried raisins or sultana
• Served with 150ml glass of pure orange juice

This breakfast contains carbohydrate for slow releasing energy throughout the day and 2 portions of your 5 a day providing your body with vitamins, minerals and fibre. Fibre is essential to aid digestion for a healthy gut. Milk is a great source of calcium needed for strong bones and teeth!!  So go on, don’t miss breakfast from now on….
