What is Active for Life?

Active for Life is designed to enable people experiencing mental ill health to enjoy the benefits of regular physical activity. Activities may include going to the gym, swimming, attending an exercise class, walking, trying a sport or something else entirely.

The amount and type of activity depends on what the individual enjoys,
but the emphasis is always on supporting people to eventually be able to exercise independently. So whether they are looking to try some physical activity for the first time, or get back into exercise following some time out, Active for Life can provide support in finding a suitable way of achieving this
