Getting an appointment

Did you know?

• if you need to see a doctor urgently, you should be able to get an appointment on the day
• if it’s not urgent, you should be able to see a doctor within two working days or a nurse within one day
• you should also be able to make an appointment for longer in advance, if that’s what you want to do
• you should be able to choose to see a specific doctor, if you’re happy to wait a bit longer
• many doctors in Kirklees are now offering services in an evening, early morning or on a Saturday
• a doctor might be able to help you over the phone without you needing an appointment. Check with your practice to see if they offer telephone consultations.
