Not happy with your GP?
Did you know?
- many practices have a comments/suggestions box for ideas about improvements they could make. Please take a few minutes to let them know what your idea is. If they don’t have a comments box you can pass your idea on directly to the practice manager
- you can get involved with the practice’s patient group, if they have one. These meet every so often to give the practice advice about what patients think of their services. Speak to the practice manager if you want to find out more about this
- you can make a formal complaint about the practice, in writing, to the practice manager. You can expect a prompt response to your complaint. A practice cannot remove you from their list just because you complain
- you can move to a new practice, as long as you live within their practice area and they are accepting new patients. You can do this very quickly and easily, and if you choose to do this, your medical records will move with you to the new practice.
For more information about how to move to a new practice contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on: 01484 464464.
